Star India was awarded the Media Client of the Year award at the EMVIEs 2017 (jointly with Vodafone). Star India took home three Gold, two Silver and three Bronze metals. Star Plus’ Ek Nayi Soch campaign won three Gold, one Silver and two Bronze metals. The Content Raid by Kabaddi World Cup 2016 and One Big Blue - Kabaddi World Cup campaigns for Star Sports won 1 Bronze and 1 Silver metal respectively. Commenting on the win, Gayatri Yadav, President and Head, Consumer Strategy and Innovation, Star India said, “With Mindshare winning the Agency of the Year and Star winning Client of the Year - this is truly the ‘Partnership of the Year’. Vodafone India won the ‘Media Client of the Year’ Award (jointly with Star India) at the EMVIEs awards function in Mumbai, with wins across diverse categories from Activation to Media Planning to Digital. This is the first time in Vodafone India’s history that it has won this award – and it was in the face of tough competition from last year’s winner, Hindustan Unilever. On receiving the award on behalf of the Vodafone marketing team, a visibly elated Siddharth Banerjee, EVP- Marketing, Vodafone India said, “I am delighted that Vodafone has been recognized as the ‘Client of the Year – 2017’ by EMVIEs.
