MYNTRA+JABONG NOTCH UP BASE OF 15 MILLION MONTHLY ACTIVE USERS
Myntra, a Flipkart Group company, announced on July 26 that it had acquired fashion multi-brand e-store Jabong from the Global Fashion Group to create one of India’s biggest fashion shopping destinations. Myntra and Jabong will now have a combined base of 15 million monthly active users.
According to Ananth Narayanan, CEO, Myntra, “Jabong has built a strong brand that is synonymous with fashion, a loyal customer base and a unique selection with exclusive global brands. The acquisition of Jabong is a natural step in our journey to be India’s largest fashion platform. We see significant synergies between the two companies, especially on brand relationships and consumer experience. We look forward to working with the talented Jabong team to shape the future of fashion and lifestyle e-commerce in India.”
IT’S THE FITNESS HOUR AT RADIO INDIGO 91.9!
Satya Murthy, CEO, Radio Indigo 91.9, says the focus in the company is now on innovative content pieces, and the largest piece being launched is an innovation called ‘The Fitness Hour’. “We are focusing on creating larger entrenchment and engagement with our TG, which is urban 18-34, Bangalorean and Goan. ‘The Fitness Hour’ is our first attempt on terrestrial radio where the content is a 40-minute medley of non-stop fitness music curated by experts. We have also taken it on-ground to our lounge, Indigo Live, where we engage with consumers who can get a consultation with a fitness expert and nutritionist every Sunday morning, thereby translating it into an experience. We have also refined our music in the international music space, and engaged with artistes including Grammy award winners through special programming.”
On marketing Radio Indigo, he says, “We are trying to carve a niche for ourselves, create content pieces that nobody else can offer and create experiences that nobody else can offer. We launched the concept of binge watching at our lounge as research showed that the urban young want to binge watch back-to-back episodes of their favourite shows or series.”

Says Sanjeev Handa, Vice- President-Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, “We are celebrating the first anniversary of NEXA. We are very happy that in one year, we have already set up 150+ outlets across 50 cities in the country. We have over 1,00,000 customers whom we have served from there and that is a record in itself. To the best of my knowledge, I don’t think any company anywhere in the world has been able to set up such a vast network in such a short time.”
