According to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, ‘Ignited mind of the youth is the most powerful resource on the earth.’ India boasts of the largest available workforce in the world and youth forms a major part of it. 60% of our population is under 30, which is a telling and powerful demographic truth. These numbers are incidentally far bigger when compared to most other countries across the globe. The questions of talent, skills, leadership have been raised time and again, and many media companies today have special verticals that look into honing these skills and identifying fresh talent.
The second edition of IMPACT’s Top 30 Under 30 list aims to recognize such budding and promising young talent. The list celebrates the future leaders from creative and media agencies across the country. The first edition of ‘Top 30 Under 30’ was unveiled by IMPACT at a glitzy event in Mumbai last year where Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief, Times Now was the guest of honour.
Emphasizing on the need for young achievers, Goswami commented, “We value experience a lot but we do not value spunk enough. I think the future belongs to the youth and it is important to invest in them. Encouragement of the youth is the answer and the way forward.” This year too, we are looking for that spunk. We are looking for youngsters who have impressed their seniors and the clients they deal with through their work. The process involves an initial screening of entries at an editorial level followed by scrutiny by a jury comprising top industry leaders, who judge the profiles and entries based on various parameters. The last date for sending in the entries is April 15, 2014.
You can submit your entries or nominate someone you know at http://www.exchange4media.com/ImpactTop30/2014/Submit.aspx.
