In today’s Digital landscape, netizens are increasingly getting influenced by short-lived trends and unrealistic expectations to look perfect. It’s been unnerving to witness powerful concepts of self-love and acceptance being merely reduced to buzzwords. For me, the meaning of these words seeps way deeper.
I experienced hair loss at the early age of 18, and that drove me to desperately seek solutions. It affected my self-esteem greatly, especially during my formative years. I tried everything, including a range of creams and products that were unfortunately seeded with false claims and deceptive promises. It was truly disheartening to have tried everything and feel disappointed. I finally resorted to hair transplant.
My self-esteem may have taken a hit owing to my hair loss, but I was determined to not let it define me. My journey of self-acceptance became the driving force to bring in solutions that are pillared by efficacy, honesty, and integrity. Effective personal care solutions that help restore equilibrium are backed by the thought – helping everyone embrace, and work towards becoming their own best versions with the right and consistent routines, instead of temporary quick fixes.
I want to be able to help everyone associated with Re’equil to believe that they are more than their hair and skin. Their journey should be defined by self-love and self-acceptance. We encourage people, and love to reinforce in all our communication that beyond anything and everything, you just simply are.
Ours has been a story of resilience. While our first year in 2017 did not deliver the results we had hoped for, I did not let that deter me. We picked ourselves back in 2018 with more emphasis and a renewed understanding of customers and their needs. We celebrate 5 years this year, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come. In a way, I was the very first customer of my brand.
I understand the effect that hair and skin issues have on self-confidence, and how it leads to insecurities. The idea is to bring in a paradigm shift in the beauty industry. To help our family experience the sheer joy of being truly and unapologetically themselves is what we are here to do.
I’m grateful for my journey which has helped me understand the industry better. It became the seed that brought Re’equil to life. Here, we aspire beyond mere cosmetic therapy and become a pillar of self-acceptance and healing, while preserving your unique identity in all its genuineness.
